Rachel asked to testify before the US Congress’ Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis
On September 21, 2022, the United States House of Representatives hosted a hearing on “Examining Long-Term Care in America: The Impact of the Coronavirus in Nursing Homes.” Though the committee ultimately decided to invite a nursing home resident to speak instead of Rachel, they asked her to enter her testimony as a Statement for the Record. Chairman Clyburn entered her statement into the Congressional Meeting Record and her statement was also given to all members of the House of Representatives. Her statement now lives on house.gov, the official website of the United States House of Representatives, available for the public to see forever.
